About the author

The author T.N. Mahesh, works in Life Insurance Corporation of India as a Development Offi cer and is pursuing the magic squares as his hobby. He did his 10th and 10+2 from the Maraimalai Adigal Government Higher Secondary School, Pallavaram and his B.Sc, Chemistry from the Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Chennai. He was initiated into the Magic Squares by his Mother Indira Narasinga Rao, who has found a mention in Limca Book of Records for constructing a 1000×1000 magic square and she has won several accolades. He received the ‘Arima Achiever award’ for his discovery of the fascinating Magic Square Puzzles by the Lions Club International district 324A8, in 2013. He has been interviewed by THE HINDU, DECCAN CHRONICLE and EDUCATION TODAY etc. He has conducted many episodes of the popular progamme ‘Ariviyal Arputham’ on Podhigai TV. The magic square puzzles feature daily in ‘The Hindu In School’ an exclusive newspaper for the school children.
